Our Double Dippers are a convenient serving piece for casual entertaining. The double "dippers" hold ample amounts of hummus, salsa or chutneys and jams and make a perfect gift for a friend paired with a jar of jam.
On one of my visits to Ireland some years ago I read about and found his studios. I was in love. I bought several pieces. On another trip, while in Kilkenny town, I came across his pottery at the artisan center across from the castle. It stood out from the rest. I bought more. Recently, I bought a piece for a dear friend. Of course, she loved it and is now a fan. I chose a piece from the forget me knot pattern to mark our friendship. The most difficult part is choosing from his gorgeous pieces and patterns.

Nicholas Mosse Pottery was established by Nicholas Mosse in 1976 after periods of training in England and Japan. His mission was to produce beautiful, functional pottery in the style of Irish Spongeware. Irish spongeware was the traditional pottery of Ireland used in the 18th Century. It was mainly made in simple honest shapes with a decoration applied with a cut sponge.
