We are blessed here at Nicholas Mosse Pottery to be located in a truly beautiful part of the country. In fact, we are on the route of a spectacular walking trail – The Nore River Valley Walk. The walk, as described on the Every Trail website, is as follows:

“The Nore Valley Walk starts in Kilkenny City at the Lacken Walk. At the end of Maudlin Street there is a small car park which leads to Lacken Walk. Follow the Lacken Walk to Ossory Bridge and then continue along the Nore Valley Walk.
The walk is sign-posted from here to Bennettsbridge. After 2km along the river bank the trail leads through a laneway and onto the Sion Road. Follow this road for 1.5 km then cross a green stile, through a field and back to the river bank. The route takes you through farmland, ruined mills, woods and then to the village of Bennettsbridge.”
We are #15 on the map on the Every Trail site. After all your walking, the best reward is to visit our café. We serve lovely lunches, delicious desserts and plenty of tea and coffee. Plus, we are open 7 days a week, even on bank holidays. We look forward to seeing you here - muddy boots and all.
