Our Covered Butter Dishes add a touch of charm to any kitchen. After all, each one is hand-crafted in our Irish Pottery, to ensure the classic design is of the highest quality. The resulting design is so delightful that you‹¨«ll never want to tidy away your spreads again! The pottery serving dishes are also perfect for presenting hummus, soft cheeses or other nibbles while entertaining. 

Our Lawn Patterns are painstakingly created by covering the surface with tiny individual flowers and leaves.  This technique builds up a rich and lustrous texture: simple but beautiful.

To keep it as beautiful and pristine as possible, we recommend that you follow the following advice:

• Avoid rough handling and sudden changes in temperature as this may cause the appearance of fine lines on the surface known as crazing. Crazing does NOT affect the life or the usefulness of the pottery, and some people feel this adds to the character and appeal of the pottery. It is nothing to worry about.

• Our pottery is dishwasher safe; please stack it carefully to avoid knocking.

• Our pottery is microwave safe but continuous use should be avoided.

• Stubborn stains may be removed by soaking in a mild bleach solution.

• For our ovenware pottery (and also our tabletop ware), avoid metal scourers or harsh abrasives.

• Only use our special Nicholas Mosse Ovenware in your oven, avoid direct heat and do not use on a hob or near a naked flame.

All Nicholas Mosse products are well packed in ecologically friendly, recycled packing. Insurance is included in the shipping charge. A gift card can be enclosed with gift wrapped purchases if you wish.
