I bought this to have a covered dish to serve a cream cheese and pepper jelly dip we heat in the microwave. It's the perfect size to replace a dish we had with a broken lid. Sort of glad we broke the old dish so I had a good reason to purchase this Nicholas Mosse one in the forget me not pattern. This butter dish will holdup to 3 cups of liquid with about a 1/4" to spare to the top.
