While it has to be said that plastic is an amazingly versatile material, the long-term damage it causes the environment is far from fantastic. From a pre-plastic time we have, over the last hundred years or so, almost become dependent on it in its various forms and roles. In truth, it’s hard to see how we can rid ourselves of it completely, but we can form a more sustainable relationship with it in our lives. Here are some thoughts on how we can turn the tide on its ubiquity.
